ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARYAs a Master Control Room Operator for Sports and Events, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, operating, and supporting occasional use traffic in the Hawley MCR. This is an entry level position and training will be provided.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREASConfigure, test, and execute occasional use feedsQuality check feeds and recorded materialProvide customer supportFollow established processes and proceduresTroubleshoot and fix technical issuesManage escalation process until resolutionEnsure all issues and events are properly documentedMonitor facility health (HVAC, generators, etc.)Ensure antennas are free of snow and debris in colder monthsBasic video editing and audio manipulationOperate automation system for transmission playout.
REQUIREDIntermediate computer skillsAbility to work shift rotation, minimum 5 shifts per week - including nights, weekends and Holidays per scheduling needsDVB IRD Frame Sync Modulators equipment experience
PREFERRED2-year degree or equivalent combination of experience / education in RF, satellite, video and / or electronicsPractical engineering experienceExperience with broadcast equipmentTechnical or customer support experienceSports knowledge / interest
