JOB DESCRIPTION ​ ​​

Department :  Telemetry - Cardiology

Shift Timings : 1900-0730- Monday to Friday (3 Days / 12 Hours)

Per Week : 36 Hours

Acute Medical Inpatient RN, Med / Surg

13 weeks 36 / wk 7p-7a Every other Holiday Every other Weekend

No Call

BLS required ACLS preferred

Cardiology experience- Cardiac medication / infusions, Telemetry / temporary pacemakers Post procedural, Cath Lab, EP, TAVRs, CHF, RAF, Medication loading, pre-ops for Cardiac Surgery, CVICU step down, Vascular PACUs (AAA / Carotids), Pre and post op cardiac procedures. EHR-Epic.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

BLS and ACLS

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

The ability to stand for extended periods.

Strong technical skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Passionate about patient care

Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry experience.

Graduate from a fully accredited RN program

Active unencumbered RN New York state license

One year of Cerner experience
