Under the supervision of the Director of Buildings and Grounds, the Transportation Manager will schedule, coordinate, and supervise the scheduling and dispatch of buses both large school buses and small activity buses for regular morning and afternoon routes, field trips, and athletic / extracurricular events. This individual will work with various school personnel to identify their busing needs, supervise and schedule bus drivers, oversee training programs and activities related to busing; and prepare and maintain accurate records related to vehicles and drivers.

• Oversee and manage all aspects of Landon School and Landon Summer's transportation needs, ensuring efficient operations. Supervise daily school bus operations including, but not limited to, personnel management and retention, scheduling, routing, daily provision of services, troubleshooting issues, and discipline, if necessary, for driver and rider.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in conjunction with the Director of Buildings and Grounds and the Chief Operating Officer.
• Develop and manage daily bus routes in coordination with admissions and schedules based on demand by geographic area.
• Foster and maintain the School's relationship with Holton-Arms for shared bus routes.
• Build and maintain relationships with outside transportation vendors.

REQUIREMENTS

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually.
