Description
Primary Responsibilities :
- Maintain current knowledge in subject matter areas as it relates to Acting and Singing Techniques required in fulfilling the demands of Musical Theatre Repertoire.
- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules
- Create and maintain a student-centered environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking
- Evaluate progress of students concerning educational matters and grade student work
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics in both the LMS (Canvas) platform, communications, and in-person
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time / temporary faculty member
- Maintain accurate academic records
- Utilize the Canvas platform to encourage student engagement and information
- Consistent communication and accurate reporting to both students and supervisors
- Contribute to the school community, including :
- Committee Participation
- Active Engagement in required trainings and initiatives
- Viewing of student performances
- Uphold AMDA’s core values of equity and inclusion in the classroom and commitment to an environment of student safety and support
