Part-time Faculty

Faculty members are Flourish’s greatest assets; without a great faculty team, we cannot accomplish Flourish’s mission. Faculty are an active part of the team, always striving to grow and learn as a teacher. Our faculty take ownership of the success of individual students and the school in general.

We are looking for voice teacher who can teach voice for students age 8+, from beginner to advanced levels. Starting hours for voice teaching would be approximately 20 hours per week.

We are also looking for a piano teacher for students age 5+, from beginner to intermediate levels (and / or advanced), to start at a couple hours per week and grow from there.

Ideally we can hire one person for both positions, but we also would be open to hiring two different people (one for voice, one for piano)

Duties and Responsibilities :

Teach assigned students in private lessons

Attend and help manage events

Participate in regular teacher meetings

Potentially teach group lessons, summer camps or other classes (if applicable)

Take initiative to make Flourish the best music school in Northern Colorado

The Ideal Faculty member at Flourish has :

Minimum hours required :

2 afternoon / evenings per week (“prime time” shifts). You can teach more “prime” shifts as available as well as daytime shifts.

No more than 2 absences per fall / winter semester or 1 per summer on a scheduled teaching day. (total 5 annual absences in 40 week teaching year)

Be present as much as possible at recitals, faculty meetings etc.

Since consistency is key for students, we are interested in hiring faculty who plan to teach at Flourish for a MINIMUM of 2-3 years or more.
