Are you a Sophomore looking for an opportunity to learn , grow , and develop as a young professional? TrueNorth Companies, L.C. headquartered in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa is currently seeking energetic and motivated individuals to participate in our Summer 2025 Internship Program .
TrueNorth is seeking multiple Sophomore college students for a two-year Business Development Sales Internship opportunity. During the first summer, interns will deepen their understanding of the insurance sales process, gain valuable professional development, conduct market research, engage with real clients, and even have the opportunity to earn their insurance license! Interns who perform well in their first summer will be evaluated for an invitation to return for a second summer, where they can focus within a specific division to build on their experience and continue growing with us. Successful completion of the program may also lead to a full-time career opportunity with TrueNorth after graduation.
Our internship program is a 10-week paid program, running May – August 2025.
As a Sales Intern, You Will :
- Develop a basic understanding of products, services, and coverages to assist in managing client risk.
- Research and profile new leads for designated producers; ensure profiles and data are completed for prospect visits.
- Accompany and support teams on sales calls and new business meetings.
- Participate in campaign sprints to engage prospects and drive lead generation.
- Leverage technology and systems like EPIC and Salesforce to engage clients and prospects, while tracking activity and handling tasks such as loss run summaries and market research.
- Engage with customers directly and assist in developing effective sales strategies to support the sales team in achieving targets.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and job shadow producers to gain a strong understanding of the insurance sales process.
- Gain the opportunity to refine your interests and return for a second summer focused on a specific department.
