Substitute teacher Jobs in McAllen, TX

In the absence of the primary classroom teacher / aide, provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth; enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education / Certification Required :

Bachelor's or higher Degree and  a Valid Texas Teacher Certificate- $125 per day

60+ earned college hours or Degree from an accredited college or university  and   one of the following :

Proof of Enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program or

• Substitute Teacher Certificate- $110 per day
• Substitute Teacher Course is available at  South Texas College or Region One Education Service Center or University of Texas Rio Grande Valley or Alternative Certification for Teachers ACT-RGV

Special Knowledge / Skills :

Communicate effectively (verbal and written); utilize effective interpersonal skills; demonstrate knowledge of subjects assigned; exhibit general knowledge of curriculum and instruction; basic computer skills, preferred

Experience :

Teaching experience, preferred

Working Days :   As needed
