Per G.S. 126-5(cl) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.
The Psychologist Senior is involved in the development, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of behavior treatment and training programs for individuals with significant intellectual and / or developmental disabilities who may also have other physical and / or psychiatric conditions. The Psychologist Senior is assisted by the Staff Psychologists and Behavior Program Specialists (BPSs) whom s / he supervises. Job responsibilities include the following :

Physical effort is minimal except at times when implementing physical interventions which may be required for the safety of clients and staff, when attending Center training on these interventions, and when training staff on the implementation of these procedures which could be physically demanding.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270) and two years of professional psychological experience, one of which must be postdoctoral. Refer to the law for specifics regarding experience requirements.
Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
