Job Summary
The Campus Marketing Manager will provide event planning, sales and marketing support to the Chartwell's Higher Education food service account at the UNIVERSITY of HOUSTON in Houston, TX. This role will guide our unit directors, marketing team and / or marketing interns in the execution of Chartwells brand standards, marketing strategy, and supports campus growth, retention, and innovative sales efforts. The position entails a need for excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously, accurate distribution of pertinent information both internally to all departments as well as to clients and related vendors. Excellent client skills in presentation and eagerness to promote on-site events for students and community.
Key Responsibilities :
Hands-on marketing support for food service events and program implementation
Guides units in the execution of marketing promotions, voluntary meal plan campaigns, catering and retail sales drivers
Ensures units adhere to Chartwells retail and catering brand standards, including brand identity, visual merchandising, and guest experience platforms
Develops marketing collateral and communications pieces, including brochures, newsletters, programming announcements, promotional guides, etc.
Database management
Coordinates content needed for marketing initiatives
Coordinates field marketing requests and activities
Works within provided budgets and guidelines
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with field managers.
Works with vendors and agencies
Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
Maintains promotional inventory
Preferred Qualifications :
BS degree in Marketing, Culinary, Hospitality or Hotel Management preferred.
Minimum three years professional experience in marketing.
Background or interest in hospitality / food
Proficient in MS Office; experience with Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and CMS systems a plus.
Multi-task in deadline-driven team environment, adjust to changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Experience in marketing through social media
AS in Marketing or business-related field
