The Precision Grinder and Bead Blaster will be responsible working with a wide variety of sheet metal and steel plate parts in a manufacturing environment. Uses grinding, glass bead blasting, and other surface preparation according to job specifications. Completes work with a high degree of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Essential Functions
- Set up and operate a wide variety of grinding, blasting, and surface preparation equipment with high degree of efficiency, craftmanship and attention to detail.
- Required Education and Experience
- Highschool diploma or GED Required
- Preferred experience with bead blasting
- Preferred experience in manufacturing environment
- Must be detail oriented to ensure quality standards are met.
- Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely using verbal and / or written communication.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Removing sharp edges, burrs, and flashing from fabricated metal parts.
Loading and unloading simi-automated sanding machines utilizing wet or dry sanding processes.
Count and maintain inventory of key parts.
Keep track of work produced, scrap items, and / or rework instructions.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to identify job requirements.
Use precision measuring tools.
Use a variety of hand tools including small sanding tools.
Rotate between various department work centers
Load and unload component piece parts with weights up to 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment
This position is in a manufacturing shop environment that is clean and fast paced. Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time may be required. Some exposure to noise and various types of equipment is typical. Work is often dusty in nature with some exposure to sanding debris. Personal Protective Equipment is required and provided.
Second Shift position 2 : 15PM – 10 : 45PM
Compensation for this position depends on experience and ranges from $18.00 - $22.00 an hour.
