OVERVIEW
American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an integrated battery metals company with a unique value proposition with both primary and secondary leveraging new technologies. ABTC is uniquely positioned to increase the domestic US production of battery metals, through recycling, extraction, and proprietary refining technologies, while ensuring that these materials are returned to the manufacturing supply chain to facilitate the transition to a circular low carbon energy economy.
ABOUT THE JOB
ABTC's Supervisor will support the production of next-generation battery materials by managing the supervision of team members, and administrative and physical tasks involved in the Production and order fulfillment of materials. The primary focus of this position is to run the Shift operations. The ideal candidate has previous supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing setting. This person is eager to contribute ideas, takes direction from Management, and is comfortable being part of a newly developed and expanding team. RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
Maintain and improve production throughput and work with the Production / Plant Manager to maintain direct labor costs.
Leads by example in all aspects of the job's responsibilities : Safety, People, Quality, Production, and Cost.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of all personnel and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Creates a positive workplace environment consistent with our company's values and ensures equitable treatment is given to all employees.
Communicates effectively with direct reports and ensures development and effective coaching through on one's, performance evaluations, and daily feedback.
Ensures daily production goals are met through daily metric monitoring.
Leads continuous improvement efforts with a focus on implementing improved and sustainable processes.
Responsible for all manufacturing costs associated with assigned work center(s), including but not limited to, consumable spend, scrap, and direct labor / overtime.
Reports down machines and supports routing maintenance.
Responsible for revising and / or establishing new work procedures (SOP)
Partnering with cross-functional management to drive cost and productivity / efficiency improvements.
Personally exhibit excellent skills and capabilities to effectively solve problems.
Train, motivate, and mentor employees.
Conduct training of new and existing employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
AAS Degree or higher preferred
2+ years in a chemical manufacturing facility
Previous experience in a training or leadership role is highly preferred
Experience with manufacturing improvement methods implementation.
Experience with the self-directed workforce.
Must be able to learn and understand the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures necessary to lead and troubleshoot assigned production areas.
Must be computer literate, in Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP systems.
Must be able to read and understand English instructions, written and verbal.
DESIRED
Demonstrated safety track record.
Previous experience in Manufacturing is preferred.
Willingness to contribute at all levels of the organization.
Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs 8-10hrs in a day.
If applicable - Able to be forklift certified
RF scanner experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to multi-task
Detail oriented
Good organizational skills
Excellent attendance and performance
Able to work a flexible schedule and / or overtime as needed.
