Position Title : VP of Software Development

Responsibilities : Software Development
Oversee all aspects of software development, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.
Ensure alignment of software development with business objectives and user needs.
Drive product quality and performance.
Manage Software Support
Direct and supervise support teams for all systems and interfaces.
Ensure timely and efficient support delivery, meeting all regulatory requirements.
Lead Testing & Quality Assurance
Establish and oversee the entire testing process, including functional, performance, and regression testing.
Develop and enforce quality standards and guidelines
Manage & Develop Team
Manage and develop a high-performing software development and support team.
Recruit, train, and mentor team members.
Work Requirements, Experience and Skills :
Minimum 10 years managing software teams, with proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Ability to grasp business needs, set strategic systems direction, and drive process improvement.
Thorough understanding of software development principles, coupled with preferred knowledge of insurance products.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic and tactical execution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
May require work over 40 hours a week to complete functions and expectations of the position.
Note : We are not currently considering applicants in CO, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT, WA, for this position.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
Industry standard development certifications are beneficial.
Insurance license / designation beneficial.
