Responsibilities

Expo / Food Runner Responsibilities

Communicate calmly and timely with kitchen and FOH staff.
Ensure food meets spec, presentation, and guest modifications.
Verify plates are served at the right temperature and garnished correctly.
Account for every item on the ticket and manage course timing.
Safely store tickets for reference.
Maintain a clean, organized expo window.
Properly care for equipment and utensils.
Keep own kitchen work area organized.
Follow food rotation procedures.
Collaborate with servers and bartenders for special guest requests.
Confirm correct plates for each FOH member.
Ensure proper order entry in the point of sale system.
Take ownership of and resolve guest issues promptly.
Leave the establishment crumb-free and food-free at closing.

Required Skills

Expo / Food Runner Qualifications

At least one year of restaurant experience

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to stand and keep active for long periods of time
