What You Will DoSpearmint seeks to add an experienced research scientist to the Research Team. Candidates should have a good understanding of optimization techniques, US power markets, and energy storage systems. Only applicants with hands-on experience applying optimization techniques to US power markets will be considered.Core Responsibilities : Lead development of BESS optimization models for participation in power markets.Drive product development strategy and processes.Contribute to development of backtest systems.Who You AreBachelor’s Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.At least three years of experience in a similar role.Experience applying optimization techniques to US power markets.Experience with linear and mixed integer programming.Strong programming skills, including extensive experience with Python.Nice to HavesExperience with power market price forecasting.Embrace a disciplined entrepreneurial culture.Be a team player at all times, with shared responsibilities and expectations.Have a valid US state issued ID and passport.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe work environment and physical demand characteristics align with the essential functions of this job.
