We currently have a great opportunity for a Purchasing Agent / Buyer based at our Warren, MI location.We are specifically looking for a detailed oriented buyer who possesses a drive to achieve in a fast-paced work environment. Your success in the role will be dependent on your skills and ability to : Analyze technical data in supplier's proposals Ensure suppliers are meeting shipping deadlines Receive purchase orders Negotiate the lowest prices Prepare and place purchase orders Monitor inventory levels Reorder all inventory as requiredGeneral Education and ExperienceEducation Associates Degree Preferred (Technical, Marketing or Business); high school diploma / G.E.D. minimum. Computer software literacy (Excel, Word, etc.) required.Experience Inventory and / or purchasing supply chain management experience in manufacturing or distribution. 1 to 3 years in fluid power related industry preferred.
