The position will work closely with senior level program engineering management.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.The PE performs as the technical lead over the assigned engineering team on a program to include leading / participating in program peer & gate reviews, supporting program management reviews (PMRs), and coordinating technical activity amongst the program IPTs.The PE performs weekly / monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors.The PE receives engineering direction from and is accountable to a Program Engineering Manager (PEM), who has overall Program Engineering responsibility for successfully proposing, developing and delivering Product Line solutions.Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.Implements strategic goals established by leadership.Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences8+ years of USG / DoD development program experience3+ years of Engineering Lead experience in USG / DoD development programs3+ years of experience with IBM / Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Microsoft ProjectDue to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.Preferred SkillsAdvanced Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline5+ years of experience within the training and simulation industry3+ years of experience performing as liaison between program management, engineering management, and the technical disciplines involved in a project.3+ years of experience performing as primary technical interface with USG / DoD customers.Security ResponsibilitiesMust comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.
