Process EngineerLocation : Nederland, TXDescription : Provide process engineering support for NGL fractionation plants, salt cavern storage, and terminal operations located in Mont Belvieu, TXProvide process engineering support for the Nederland NGL export terminal and Spindletop storage facilities located near Nederland, TXWork with plant Operations personnel and Engineering group members to analyze and improve existing processes to maximize productivity, reduce operating costs, improve profitability, and comply with regulations and engineering standards.Implement entire project life cycle for small to mid-size maintenance and capital growth projects including scope development, design, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and project completion.Foster and maintain effective working relationship with Operations, Project Managers, Outside Contractors, Environmental, and Safety personnelWork closely with Project Directors / Managers responsible for development and execution of large scale plant projectsWork with Business Development / Commercial in the development of optimization, debottlenecking, and growth projects.Take part in PSM activities for area facilities. (maintain facility drawings, resolve PHA action items, etc.)Maintain facility process simulations and work with other process engineers to develop process solutions while following engineering standards, code compliance, company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen process engineering and project management knowledge base and proficiencies.Minimum Qualifications : A BS degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably Chemical, Natural Gas, or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 3 years of experience as a process engineer in oil / gas or related industryStrong verbal and written communications skillsProficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suites applicationsProficiency utilizing Engineering Process Simulation Programs (ProMax, Hysys, etc.)Desired Qualifications : Experience with NGL / LPG facilitiesExperience developing and executing projects inside PSM facilities5+ years of experience in midstream sectorJob level to be commensurate with experience : The Engineer level requires a bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of relevant job-related experienceThe Sr. Engineer level requires a bachelor’s degree and 6-10 years of relevant job-related experienceThe Staff Engineer level requires a bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant job-related experienceWorking Conditions : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Normal office working conditions and field workMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.Occasional overnight travel may be required.Visits to industrial / manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment will occur.
