Job Title : Drone Operator

Job Location : Seattle, WA 98108

Travel : 75% travel in the year

Job Duration : 6 Months Contract

Job Description :

  • This position is in search for a skilled Part 107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via a Remote Control.
  • The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies.
  • The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties.
  • The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology.
  • This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
  • The role will also require cross team training to support teams such as (but not limited to) delivery sites for pre-launch tasks.
  • The candidate will join a Research and Development team working on inventing and developing new transformative experiences.

Requirements :

  • 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • 2+ years of Remote-Control pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution
  • Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand / walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Work in volatile weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow) all within the established safety thresholds
  • Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided)
  • Work variable shifts and schedules including weekends when applicable.
  • Overtime may be required and approved based off od work assignment.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with commercial UAS industry
  • Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar

    • Degree or Certification :

  • Bachelor’s (preferred, but not required)

    • Must-have hard skills :

  • Experience in commercial drone pilot (bigger commercials drone)
  • Flexibility and adaptability – schedules changing paths are changing
