Job descriptionCollaborate on Patient Care Plans : Actively participate in developing and updating individualized care plans that address each child's unique occupational therapy needs. Plan and Provide Therapy Services : Schedule and conduct targeted rehabilitative activities and interventions to help pediatric patients improve their functional abilities and achieve therapy goals. Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations : Use standardized assessments to evaluate patients and determine their specific therapy needs. Document Treatment and Progress : Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, documenting patient responses and progress during each visit. Educate Families and Healthcare Teams : Provide guidance and training to family members and other healthcare professionals on techniques to support patient progress. Supervise COTAs : Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA and OTAs) to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with state guidelines. Engage in Case Conferences : Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and refine treatment strategies collaboratively. Coordinate Patient Visits : Confirm weekly schedules with Area Support Managers, ensuring organized and timely patient care. Support Discharge Planning : Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to facilitate effective discharge planning and complete necessary documentation.
