We are currently seeking a Payroll / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This position processes biweekly payroll; processes payroll checks and direct deposit mailers, updates time and attendance system, provides training and assistance to new employees and supervisors, performs specific accounting department functions
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Qualifications
Job requirements :
Two year college degree, preferably in accounting or equivalent experience commensurate with the job requirements.
Three or more years’ payroll / accounting experience.
Health care experience preferred.
Must possess knowledge of all aspects of payroll requirements; including working with multiple locations / legal entities
Strong knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act
Knowledge of garnishments, child support and tax lien procedures.
Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
