Job Summary
The Emergency Services Manager (RN) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through the daily oversight and staffing of the Emergency Department. The Manager monitors and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures, holding staff accountable for clinical outcomes and quality measures. This leadership role requires recent ER leadership experience, particularly for off-shift operations, to support facility objectives and maintain service excellence standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to established standards of care and regulatory requirements.
- Drive efforts to reduce clinical practice variation while improving efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
- Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in patient care.
- Support internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee and ensure proper equipment maintenance as per regulatory standards.
- Manage admissions and discharge processes to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
- Assign staff with appropriate clinical competencies to meet patient care needs.
- Provide leadership to ensure an unparalleled patient experience, instilling accountability for consistent and positive patient interactions.
- Analyze patient and staff feedback to identify opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Support the development and execution of strategies to enhance patient experience and service delivery.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
- Identify training and development needs for employees and teams, facilitating professional growth.
