The Department of State Hospitals-Napa, Health Information Management Department is accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Medical Transcriber. This position, under general supervision from the Senior Medical Transcriber, will be responsible for transcribing reports such as psychiatric evaluations, medical clinical reports, comprehensive psychological reports, and other different types of reports. The candidates should have knowledge of medical terminology and strong typing skills. All applications, regardless of the type of eligibility, must meet the minimum qualifications of the classification.
Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Multiple cut-off dates are set for application submission : April 10, 2024, May 1, 2024, May 22, 2024, June 12, 2024 and July 3, 2024. Applications received after a cut-off date will be processed for the next cut-off date listed.
Applications may be screened and only the most qualified candidates will be invited for an interview. This position will be filled pending budget approval.
