Job descriptionAssist Internship Director with processing internship applications. Meet with students to discuss their internship goals and objectives, advise students on searching for internship opportunities, and answer any questions about the internship program / process. Troubleshoot Handshake issues for student, faculty, and site supervisors. Follow-up with students, faculty, and employers regarding internship applications. Manage the Internship Center email account and respond to all emails. Post internship opportunities on Handshake. Advertise internship opportunities to students. Contact eligible students regarding the Rutledge Internship Award. Meet with students to review resumes.
Our office is a fast-paced environment that works with all University stakeholders including employers; the ability to provide excellent customer service is essential.
To be successful in our office, applicants must have : excellent communication skills, the desire to step outside of your comfort zone and learn multiple tasks, problem solve / think critically, manage time / projects, and ability to work independently.
