The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer will work within a team of engineers, including electrical engineers, to complete equipment design. Daily you will report to an Engineering Manager. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : Create and lead design of mechanical-related equipment by designing and detailing different segments of the projectLead designing and detailing for multiple projects at a timeUtilize 3D modeling software to complete design projects, including design of structures, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.Partner with electrical engineers on design of electrical partsMonitor budgets and manage timelines of multiple projectsPrepare design release for the shop floor and support production through build and installParticipate in meetings and communicate with production and sales teams on an ongoing basisPreset design to customers and answer technical questionsAssist with training and development of new employeesVisit local customers as needed; very minimal overnight travel requiredOther duties as directed by managementCandidates should enjoy working in a team environment and collaborating with other engineers. Minimum of a high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred2. Ideally five years in a similar mechanical design engineering position3. Experience designing mechanical-related equipment4. Experience overseeing multiple project timelines5. 3D modeling experience6. Mechanical aptitude7. Microsoft OfficeSkills preferred but NOT required : 1. Solid Edge2.
