Responsible for scheduling and registering out-patients for Radiology procedures such as MRI, CT, US, XRay, etc.
Input patient data into the system for accurate medical records and billing purposes
Ensures all necessary forms including consents and insurance verification are completed
Confirm all patient appointments for the next day
Faxing imaging reports to referring physicians
Makes sure that all scripts are obtained prior to patient's appointment.
Ensures that scripts are valid and include dx code, procedure, and doctor information.
Printing and burning CD of images provided to patient and physicians
Printing daily schedules and provide them to the Radiology and Registration departments including department managers
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
High school Diploma required. College Degree preferred.
1 - 2 years of hospital setting experience in scheduling.
Knowledge of all medical imaging modality exam"Preps"
Knowledge of medical imaging terminology
Knowledge of imaging modalities and procedures
Knowledge of PACS, CareVue, MediTech
