Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Daily Management : Drives daily plant operations by ensuring production and schedule goals are met; managing production expenses; coordinating purchasing and supply activities; ensuring all plant safety and quality control measures are followed; and holding others accountable where appropriate.Site Responsibility : Directs and controls plant operations by ensuring operational alignment with company strategy; adhering to company policies and procedures; fostering an environment of workplace safety; maintaining a well-trained staff; minimizing production costs by effectively utilizing resources; and ensuring an environment focused on quality service and production. Financial Overview : Effectively manages annual operating plans (P&L) by ensuring the successful accomplishment of both short- and long-term financial goals; developing and managing the operational budget; regularly reviewing plant financial and cost data; benchmarking plant operational costs and pricing against the competition; conducting financial analyses assessing the Return on Investment of plant operations initiatives; and effectively negotiating supplier contracts as appropriate. Research and Analysis : Works directly with key stakeholders to coordinate administrative, purchasing, production, supply chain, and other relevant functions necessary for daily plant operation. Drives continuous improvement efforts within the plant by identifying and leveraging new technology; implementing efficiency and cost cutting measures where appropriate; proactively mapping processes and identifying process improvement opportunities; and cultivating an environment of efficiency and innovation among plant staff members. Operational Excellence : Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. People Development : Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00-$250,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food science, manufacturing, or related area and 7 years’ experience in a food manufacturing or processing facility.
5 years’ supervisory experience.
3 years’ experience managing budgets and financial statements.
Preferred Qualifications...
In food production, manufacturing, industrial process operations, or related area., Leadership experience in the agricultural, food science, manufacturing or similar industry., Prior management experience in a food manufacturing plant., Prior work experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines and regulations.
