Job Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer, Sr. for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Program Production Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting the production of systems that defend against airborne threats, collaborating with various functions and government customers to ensure successful program execution.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the producibility of designs. You will work closely with suppliers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical manufacturing issues and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Evaluating designs for producibility and collaborating with suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Leading manufacturing process validation activities and driving cost reduction initiatives
- Identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans
- Providing Lockheed Martin and supplier factory manufacturing support
- Working with government customers and integrating launcher equipment
- Utilizing Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes
