We are seeking an experienced and talented precision Manual Machinist to join our machine shop in Carlstadt, NJ .
Essential Functions :
The Machinist will perform set-ups and machining of close tolerance aerospace hardware on large and small engine lathes, drill presses, milling machines & other shop equipment.
Requirements :
- One (1) year of experience of Machinist Trade School Training with manual machines preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience with manual lathes and manual mills performing precision machining within 0.001 of an inch.
- Experience as a Tool Room Machinist with initiative and ingenuity for creating a wide variety of tools, jigs, and fixtures for machining applications as needed would be a PLUS.
- Experience should include machining Inconel, Aluminum and Steel.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Must be able to read and follow instructions from manufacturing planning and procedures.
- Must be able to use standard measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
- Must be able to perform Shop Math
