While our headquarters are in Oskaloosa, Iowa, we are a global company, providing lighting solutions at stadiums, arenas and venues in more than 125 countries.The Musco Legal Team is looking to hire a Corporate Counsel team member to work from our Oskaloosa office (will consider Des Moines office). This position will focus on being an active member of Musco’s Legal Team focused on supporting Musco’s general corporate and transactional business activities. This role is part of a fast-moving collaborative team which handles various legal matters related to items like contract administration, privacy, regulatory requirements and other general corporate legal matters. More details about the role are below.What you will do as Corporate Counsel : Review and provide legal advice and assistance related to legal documents and contracts, including but not limited to, sales agreements, distribution agreements, vendor agreements, warranty documents or similar.Draft standardized contracts and agreements for general use by others within the company.Oversee the contract management system and implement improvements to the contracting process.Conduct legal research relating to pending or potential litigation, corporate governance, and compliance with legal standards and existing law.Work efficiently with outside counsel.Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, Accounting, Credit, Systems and Sales.Coordinate responses related to litigation, demand letters and other potential disputes against the company.Support the enhancement and maintenance of corporate policies, processes, and training programs especially with those relating to privacy or data-privacy.Provide legal support for the company’s corporate matters, special projects or other initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience Requirement : J.D. Degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in law in Iowa4+ years of experience in a Corporate Legal Department and / or corporate-focused practicePrevious experience interpreting, reviewing and / or drafting contracts and deep knowledge of related legal principles and best practicesExperience with privacy and / or data privacy requirements is a plusHigh degree of professional ethics and integrityJob Specifications : Strong research, analytical, evaluation and communication skillsAbility to solve complex, highly sensitive issues.Strong attention to detailAbility to manage and prioritizeAbility to work effectively in a changing environmentAbility to conduct research, learn new regulations and legal precepts, and to articulate ideas to help the business grow.Willingness and ability to support other attorneys when needed, to work with a variety of personalities, and be a part of a team.Who is Musco?
