Sr. Field Engineering Tech Analyst / Construction Surveyor
Contract Duration : Until 02 / 16 / 2026 (with high possibility of extension)
Location : Southeastern Michigan (Livonia, Macomb, Royal Oak) – 60-mile radius within the SE region
Note : Some weeks may offer Monday-Thursday 10-hour shifts, with Friday as an overtime (OT) day.
Job Summary :
Seeking a Sr. Field Engineering Tech Analyst to support our new data collection and GIS integration team. This role is crucial for collecting and managing data on natural gas assets and ensuring seamless integration into our GIS database. The position requires extensive fieldwork (95%) with minimal office time. The ideal candidate will work closely with gas construction management teams and field personnel to capture and process essential data.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform data collection and management for natural gas assets and related construction projects.
- Collaborate daily with gas construction management teams and field personnel crews to ensure accurate data collection.
- Work closely with crew leads to capture and document daily work plans.
- Report to designated worksites and review daily project scopes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of CMS Energy onboarding processes, field safety training, and corporate safety standards .
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices in field operations.
