We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in Macon, GA . As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant women, assessing their physical and emotional well-being, and managing any complications that may arise during labor and delivery.

Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs, making necessary adjustments and interventions to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby.

Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management techniques as required, and document all procedures accurately and timely.

Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, midwives, and other specialists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Educate expectant mothers and their families on prenatal care, labor and delivery processes, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

Assist in postpartum recovery by providing postpartum assessments, breastfeeding support, and emotional care to new mothers.

Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall improvement of patient care in the labor and delivery unit.

Requirements :

Valid and current RN license in the state of Georgia.

Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting.

BSN degree (preferred), but ADN or diploma with equivalent experience will be considered.

BLS and NRP certifications.

Knowledge of the labor and delivery process, including experience with high-risk pregnancies and emergency situations.

Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
