Budgeting and Cost Management : Calculate machine hour rates, including both fixed and variable costs. Management Reporting : Create graphs and visual tools to monitor run rates, set-ups, and production efficiencies. Operational Analysis : Collaborate with Supervisors and the General Manager to review actual spending versus budgeted amounts. Provide explanations for budget variances and analyze capital projects. Review and assess material, labor, and budget content. Inventory Oversight : Leadership and Support : Provide backup support for accounting staff during vacations or absences. Additional Responsibilities : Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience. OR Associates degree in Accounting or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Strong ability to maintain confidential information. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to file and maintain accurate records and reports. Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required when working in production areas. Basic computer literacy and data entry experience.

Overview
A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations, reporting, and analysis at the plant level. This hands-on role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader to manage accounting functions, support operational decision-making, and ensure compliance with financial standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis :
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedural standards.
Develop, maintain, and analyze departmental budgets, creating periodic reports to compare budgeted costs against actual results.
Prepare and deliver management reports, including financial statements.
Assist in the development of the annual budget.
Identify and resolve inventory issues, including scrap, shrinkage, obsolescence, and valuation concerns.
Supervise accounting staff, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and financial integrity.
