Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited 4-year college or university (must be able to provide transcript proving, at minimum, 24 credit hours of accounting coursework have been earned)
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent organizational abilities
- A valid driver’s license
- Ability to review and reconcile documents submitted by taxpayers during audits
- Enthusiasm for building a career in accounting and auditing

Summary :
Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting to join our client’s State and Local Tax Audit Team as an entry-level Auditor. This role is part of the government Audit Services group and offers a dynamic learning experience. Initially, the successful candidate will be paired with a senior Auditor for hands-on training in both field and office settings, with training lasting approximately 4-6 months. The primary responsibility involves conducting field audits for businesses with annual sales under $70,000 or tax on purchases under $12,000, ensuring compliance with Kansas tax statutes and regulations. Audits will cover a range of industries and record-keeping systems, with occasional travel required within the Kansas City area.
