METI is seeking two Accounting Specialists to assist us with our United States Forest Service International Programs contract in El Paso, Texas. Duties :

• Financial Record Keeping : Maintain and update accurate budget records, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and organized.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Process invoices and track payments. Manage the setup of new contracts or task orders.
• Expense Tracking : Monitor and categorize project expenses to maintain an accurate overview of financial outflows and budget adherence.
• System Usage : Utilize Excel and other tools for data entry, processing, and reporting.
• Audit Support : Prepare financial documents and provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that audit requirements are met.
• Problem Solving : Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and inefficiencies in financial processes and collaborate with the team to propose and implement solutions.
