About the Company :
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our team in our Columbia office. This position will primarily support our Charleston team of two attorneys and one administrative assistant in the area of medical malpractice litigation. The ideal candidate will be an experienced paralegal with a strong understanding of medical malpractice law and a commitment to providing high-quality legal support.
About the Role :
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist attorneys in all stages of medical malpractice litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Draft, proofread, and revise legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all documentation is current and properly filed.
- Communicate with clients, medical professionals, and experts as needed.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of medical records, depositions, and other relevant information.
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and trial notebooks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Manage deadlines and assist with the case management process to ensure timely progress.
