Human Resources Assistant needed for temporary job opportunity in Chicago!
26 / hr - $30 / hr, based on experience

Job Duties :
Provides quality customer service to internal personnel and the general public in all phases of
employment onboarding.
Coordinates and schedules employment screenings (occupational health services and criminal
background checks) with third-party vendors for our employment candidates and
employees.
Receives and handles all employment documents submitted by new employees and performs
related recordkeeping and storage of all such documents.
Provides support in fulfilling identification card requests to include operating the digital
camera and card printer, entering or updating employee information in ID software
application.
Maintains spreadsheets of personnel service transactions (background screening,
occupational health service (physicals, drug tests, etc.), and identification cards.
Responds to inquiries concerning all phases of the onboarding process and directs current and
potential employees to appropriate personnel.
Assists supervisor in compiling statistics on the status of work assignments and prepares progress
reports.
Support the front counter by serving as a receptionist (when needed) and perform other clerical
duties to include but not limited to : pulling and filing employee medical and / or personnel
files, producing photocopies, scans, and / or generating faxes; answering phones, taking
messages; performing data entry related tasks and creating ad-hoc reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
1+ years of experience working in a Human Resources department
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
