Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
Position Description :
The Assistant Business Services Manager plays a critical role in supporting the financial management of the Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences. This position will assist the CFO in developing, recommending, and administering programs related to the receipt, custody, and disbursement of funds. The ideal candidate will be skilled in accounting practices, internal auditing, budgetary controls, payroll management, and debt services.
Physical Requirements : Light Work : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects; Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
Terms of Employment : Salary & benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.
Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated by the CFO in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
