The CNC Programmer plans numerical control program to control contour path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools : Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates, according to the knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities

Nature of Duties / Responsibilities :

• Programming new jobs per Planning & Engineering procedure.
• Verifying programs with tool path verification programs to minimize programming errors.
• Updating existing jobs programs to incorporate process improvements.
• Working with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times thru production.
• Working with Engineering & Customer to resolve drawing issues & manufacturing problems.
• Supporting the manufacturing floor to minimize downtime, solve problems, and optimize cycle times.
• Working with machinists to solve manufacturing problems.
• Evaluating and solving problems on the production floor.

Education and Experience :

This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Salary Range (annual) : $76000 - $80000
