POSITION SUMMARY The Used Equipment Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections on equipment we are considering for trade in or used inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform used equipment inspections for Used Equipment Manager and / or Sales Manager and assist in determining equipment value.
• Assist Used Equipment Manager in locating and purchasing used equipment for resale or salvage.
• Coordinates with service department on EMD used equipment repairs
• Driving may be required.
• Other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written), creativity, resourcefulness, and an internal / external customer service orientation are essential in order to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as with outside clients.

• Ability to write business correspondence, memos, and other material.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

• A high level of proficiency required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required to perform the varied duties of this position. EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. COMPENSATIONS  Pay Range : $31.00 - $39.00 Hourly. Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability. Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
