LHHAllen Park, MichiganOur client is seeking a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will play a key role in guiding the financial direction of the company, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities :
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) : Lead the development of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Provide analysis of financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and drivers.
Financial Reporting : Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Strategic Financial Management : Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's overall objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize business performance and drive growth.
Risk Management : Identify and assess financial risks facing the company and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Implement effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Cash Management : Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives. Optimize working capital management and oversee banking relationships.
Financial Operations : Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting.
Financial Systems and Processes : Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Implement best practices and technology solutions to streamline financial operations.
Leadership and Team Development : Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative financial solutions.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing and empowering team members.
Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and Microsoft Excel.
