Job Title : Executive Kitchen Manager
Location : Del Mar, California, 92014
Salary Range : $72,000 - $80,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus
Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary operations of our upscale casual dining restaurant located in the vibrant community of Del Mar, California. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for innovative cuisine, a commitment to exceptional quality, and a proven track record in kitchen management.
Key Responsibilities :
Culinary Leadership : Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and innovative dishes that align with our brand’s ethos.
Menu Development : Collaborate with culinary teams to design and implement seasonal menus, focusing on fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced ingredients.
Operational Excellence : Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Financial Management : Oversee kitchen budgeting, including food and labor cost analysis, to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.
Team Management : Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Quality Control : Implement and maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, ensuring all dishes meet the brand’s rigorous standards.
Guest Experience : Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure a seamless dining experience, addressing and resolving any food-related guest concerns.
Vendor Relations : Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the quality and sustainability of all sourced ingredients.
Continuous Improvement : Stay abreast of culinary trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve kitchen operations.
Qualifications :
At least 5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume, upscale casual or fine dining environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing culinary teams.
In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Excellent financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative and innovative approach to menu development and culinary trends.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
