Job title : Maintenance Manager
Purpose of the Position
Direct and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Executes standards set forth in the Company Handbook.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Holds self and team accountable for accurate and timely completions of all maintenance related tasks.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Directs workers and contractors engaged in buildings and grounds maintenance activities.
Develops preventive maintenance program to optimize health of equipment in conjunction with maintenance staff.
Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Works with outside Vendors, by soliciting competitive bids and performing required work with equipment and facilities.
Maintain spare parts room and stock according to min / max levels to minimize downtime due to breakdown.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.

Academic Qualifications
Essential Desirable
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in related field Ammonia certification
Work Experience & Skills
Essential Desirable
High degree of proficiency in MS Office applications, computerized maintenance systems Experience with CMMS and ERP
Extensive experience in Anhydrous Ammonia refrigeration system
Extensive experience in PSM
Experience in OSHA Regulations
Experience in Lock out / Tag out procedures
Experience in Wastewater procedures
Experience in PLC and Controls troubleshooting
Experience in predictive maintenance
Strong team environment and leadership skills
Experience in project management
Minimum five years as Maintenance Manger experience in mid to large manufacturing environment e.g. Experience working within a manufacturing environment
