MKD Electric is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning Analysis (FP&A) Analyst . As part of this role...

You will be responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights, support business decisions, and help optimize financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, a keen business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior leadership.

What you will do...

  • Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasts, working closely with department heads and senior management to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Create and maintain financial models to support decision-making across various business units.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial performance, assess risks, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of long-term financial plans and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and corporate goals.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, track performance against benchmarks, and provide insights to ensure the company is on track to meet its financial objectives.
  • Analyze business performance and profitability by segment, region, or product line, and develop actionable strategies to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for board meetings, investor relations, and senior executives.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.

What you will need to succeed...

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, financial modeling, and data analysis; experience with ERP systems and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, key financial metrics, and financial reporting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, influence key stakeholders, and drive business results.

  • The base pay range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000 per year. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by bona fide factors such as geographic work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
