Willingness to hear professional feedback and apply what is learned to future project tasks. On the path to obtaining an architecture license. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Enscape. Ability to conduct day-long field surveys outdoors and indoors in conditioned and unconditioned spaces, including walking up to 10-20k steps in a day, climbing up and down a 6-foot ladder, kneeling, squatting, and bending. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to obtain site access at client locations. Ability to travel up to 10 nights in a year, in addition to day-long field surveys. Due to government contract requirements and mandated access restrictions, sole US citizenship is a strict requirement of this role. Dual citizenship is not acceptable. Fully paid individual health insurance, offering both HSA and PPO options with 50% of family premiums paid. Dental and vision insurance are available. 401K with employer automatically contributing 3% of gross salary with an additional matching option. Fully paid, short-term and long-term individual disability insurance, term life insurance with Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage. Eleven (11) paid holidays and seventeen (17) days of paid time off per year. Education Assistance Program. A flexible work environment, including 1-2 days per week hybrid work options after six months with the company.

Does working within interdisciplinary teams excite you? Do you enjoy the company of engineers? We have a growing architecture studio within our E / A firm dedicated to providing design excellence with efficient and effective problem-solving design solutions.
Most of our projects are renovations, so it makes for some interesting and challenging projects. The fun of renovation work is dealing with the existing constraints imposed by the structure or building operations. We find ourselves regularly working with the engineers to solve problems – in the field and at our desks. We are such great problem solvers that our clients return and renew their multi year term contracts.
We serve our clients' missions as if they were our own, whether supporting the warfighter or our nation's finest government and educational institutions.
With our headquarters located in Northern Virginia, our interesting client list, and a focus on renovation projects, you will get to go inside some interesting buildings and sometimes see history from the inside out. Check out our projects page for some examples of our work.
This position will report to the Senior Architect.
