Position Summary

Responsible for doing multiple set ups per shift and machining weldments, block work of all sizes, Flame / grind plates, pins, etc. in a timely manner, while maintaining exceptional quality.

Job Responsibilities

Independently set-up and operate 5 axis CNC machine, to machine parts per print efficiently and accurately;
Inspects work for conformance to specifications;
Maintain little to no re-work or scrap;
Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes;
Maintains a satisfactory attendance and punctuality record
Keep work area clean and organized; and
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

5-7 years minimum experience as a machinist;

Prior experience setting up and operating HAAS VMC’s and Mazak Lathes.

High attention to detail and quality;

A good knowledge base and understanding of M and G code;

Mazatrol programming experience a plus;

Ability to read and interpret blueprints;

Understand basic GD&T call-outs;

Ability to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools;

Ability to setup and run “one-off” parts to print efficiently and accurately;

Must work well under pressure; and

Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills.

Nonessential Skills and Experience :

Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.

Environmental, Health and Safety

Understand the Company’s EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job;

Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;

Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;

Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and

Attend required EH&S training.
