Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Proven experience as an IT Director or in a similar role. Strong analytical skills for system analysis, implementation, and evaluation. Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware / software), networks, database structures, etc. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Outstanding communication skills. Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felony and must not have been substantiated for abuse or neglect in the state of Missouri, as recorded by the Department of Mental Health's Employee Disqualification List. Must demonstrate safe practices in all areas and exemplify positive professional standards. SUMMARY
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing IT functions. The Director of Information Technology is responsible for managing technology operations, implementing new IT systems, and ensuring effective functionality within budget and time constraints.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee Technology Operations :
Evaluate and manage all technology operations, including network security, business intelligence development, help desk, and hardware & software infrastructure.
Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support upper management's strategies.
Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems to support business operations.
Administer and support Microsoft systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, Office, etc.
Implement a Microsoft software roadmap for the deployment and integration of Microsoft software solutions.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and help desk technicians.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users as needed.
Develop and manage the IT department budget, including forecasting, planning, and expense monitoring.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with technology vendors.
Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and practices to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
Align IT strategies with overall business goals.
Establish and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during system failures or disasters.
Serves as the HIPAA Security Officer.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Physical Expectations
This position requires extended periods of sitting with some periods of walking and standing. It may also require bending, kneeling, and / or stooping and climbing stairs. There may be extended periods of using a computer and / or calculator.
Working Conditions
Office environment with noises from people, appliances, telephones, and other occupational noises depending upon the job placement.
