POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and is responsible for a variety of functions within the daily operations including, but not limited to collections, billing, audits, as well as customer service and guest inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :
- Communicate directly with guest and credit card processors in order to resolve disputes
- Monitor the Aging Report to maintain account progress
- Process vendor setup
- Pursue collections of past due accounts
- Refers overdue accounts to collections
- Process travel agent commissions in preparation for payment to travel agents (TA)
- Help rectify any billing disputes between internal departments and guest and wholesalers’ discrepancies
- Process and allocations of daily payments from all sources
- Maintain up-to-date information and comments on all client accounts; Ensure documentation is accurate, thorough and focused on detail
- Process and allocate credit card charges / refunds for guest inquires disputes and skips
- Research and respond to all credit card retrieval and chargeback inquiries
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
