A company is looking for an Emergency Medicine Coder to review patient medical records and assign appropriate coding.Key ResponsibilitiesReview documentation on patient records and assign CPT-4 codes and physician identification numbersIdentify errors, problems, or issues and present them to Coding management for resolutionComplete daily productivity reports and attend departmental and training meetings as scheduledRequired QualificationsExtensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT-4 procedural codingExtensive knowledge of medical terminologyTyping speed of 35-45 WPMHigh school diploma or equivalentCPC, CCS-P, or RHIT certification or eligibility within two years, along with 1-3 years of previous physician coding experience or graduation from a coding technical school
