Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

2nd Shift

2,500 Signing Bonus!

AFC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining industrial equipment using hand and power tools. They will work with other employees to maintain the equipment and optimize processes. Responsibilities :

• Performs routine preventive maintenance inspections on all manufacturing equipment.
• Monitors equipment for proper operation, and makes adjustments and repairs to optimize machine performance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical controls and mechanical parts of machinery.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, schematic drawings, and manufacturer's instructions.
• Determines materials and supplies needed to accomplish maintenance and repair.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Accomplishes all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production and improve plant efficiency.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Supports projects 24 hours per day in case of emergencies

Competitive salary : Starting at $30.00 per hour, based on experience plus $2.50 second shift differential

Generous paid time off (PTO ) : 130 hours per year ( equal to 16 days, accrued bi-weekly ); 176 hours ( 22 days ) after 5 years, 216 hours ( 27 days ) after 10 years.

Paid holidays : 10 paid holidays per year with no waiting period.

Safety Shoe Reimbursement : $200 reimbursement per year for approved safety shoes.

Gym subsidy : Quarterly reimbursement of up to $60 per month to help achieve the employee's wellness goals.
