Job description

Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting a PLC Electrical Technician for our global manufacturing client, local to the Jefferson City, MO area. The incumbent would be responsible for troubleshooting, designing and repairing AC / DC electronic / electrical circuits, industrial controls, PLC, robot computers, CNC machinery, etc. Additionally, performing installation of production equipment, repairs and replacements.

WEEKEND SHIFT | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 12.5 hr shifts | Some PM hours required | Hourly with OT

Responsibilities :

Handling modifications and edits of machine language programs, setting up computer systems and installation of various software systems. Providing proper use and maintenance of equipment while utilizing PPE equipment.
Monitor work assignments, logbooks, reports, equipment availability and work orders. Identify material irregularities and equipment malfunctions to adjust and maintain optimal performance. Manage maintenance orders and documentation.
Examine and troubleshoot test equipment while performing service, repairs, adjustments and alignments of electrical and electronic circuitry, based on manufacturer schematics, blueprints, diagrams, etc.
Assemble, connect, and test servo-controlled equipment, alongside fabricating changes and / or modifications to electronic controls, VFD drives, programming and / or PLCs.
Take electrical readings, voltages, resistance and currents. Measure, cut, thread, bend and assemble electrical conduits, while assisting mechanical and personnel with other repairs around the facility as needed.

Qualifications :

Two-year Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronic field.

Experience and training within a PLC programming capacity.

Candidate must have work authorization which would permit them to work within the United States. Our client is unable to provide current or future sponsorship.
